The Malt Shoval
Mine Host: William Mulqueen
One of Coventry's oldest pubs, a traditional local with old world charm it has three distinct areas two having open fires (cosy during the winter months). The servery is to the left as you enter along a short corridor .
The first published mention of the 'Malt Shoval' was in 1781, but most probably dates to an earlier period under a different name.
No garden area at the moment but car park to the side, the yard at the back is not in use at the moment unfortunately, but one never knows.
Dogs are allowed & I beleive there is a poole table up stairs for those who may need some extra entertainment other than a drink & a chat, juke box & disco on Saturday evenings.
For other entertainment see pub ads, there is a TV now at the rear to the right of the pub for general viewing.
